What We Believe
We are a Christ centered fellowship that believes in the inerrency and inspiration of Holy Scripture in its original language, as understood through the culture that produced and received it. Our understanding of theology stems from the Bible itself as interpreted by the living and active early church, as well as the great ecumenical councils.
Thus, we believe that God is a Trinity of undivided, co-equal Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe that Jesus is the incarnation of God, fully human and fully divine. He took on the entirety of human nature, body, mind, and soul, yet remained without sin, and thus redeemed us from death and sin. As the early church taught, that which is not assumed is not saved; thus Jesus had to take upon the entirety of the human nature, while retaining His full Divinity.
Christ’s death and Resurrection freed us from the ancestral curse, and brought us wholeness. The life and death of Jesus also granted us adoption into the Kingdom of God as co-heirs with Christ. It also granted us true fellowship with one another and with all of creation. This adoption and fellowship do not await some future date, but have their beginning now; we are already in paradise, if only we have eyes to see.
